In the 100 years since The Worlds' Fair, many neighborhoods have literally melted away. Due to public safety, many of the buildings were removed and demolished over the years. The remaining residents to the area are becoming increasingly isolated as these buildings are being torn down.
The images to the left show a demonstration of how many structures had been eliminated from the area. Many blocks within the area only have a small handful of homes remaining. The first two images on the left were created by the courtesy of Rob Powers, creator of the "Built St. Louis" website and strongly illustrates the slow elimination of structures from the NorthSide area within the 1900 Block of Montgomery.
